Roshan Kumar comes from Mithi, Tharparkar. The town is a sprawling desert with people living in mud houses without access to electricity and even clean drinking water. And yet this region is full of promises. One example of this promise is Roshan Kumar.
Roshan Kumar comes from one of the remotest regions of Pakistan which is also one of the few places in the country with a Hindu majority. The town is a sprawling desert with people living in mud houses without access to electricity and even clean drinking water. And yet this region is full of promises. One example of this promise is Roshan Kumar. A bright student with a bright future. His struggle for attaining higher education is an inspiration for all of us.
“When I was in fifth grade my father passed away leaving behind my mother and six other siblings. But I never let my circumstances affect my education. I completed my secondary schooling from Amar Jagdish Malani School in Mithi and then pursued FSc from Degree College in Mithi which was very far away from my home but I had to travel by foot. I am very happy to have gotten a merit scholarship at Namal University.”
