We offer multiple donation options, including dividing a complete scholarship into different intervals. We have a flexible and accommodating approach. You can choose the frequency of your contributions based on your preferences.

“While the higher education enrollment numbers in Pakistan appear to have impressively increased from 276,000 in 2001 to 1.29 million in 2014-15, it is still 9% of the eligible young population compared to 28% of India’s.” — Rasul Bakhsh Rais

HOW DO WE ALLOCATE FUNDS?

Namal University is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for its students. The university strategically allocates resources to ensure comprehensive support and services, including free accommodation for female students, subsidized food services, and maintaining and enhancing academic resources like the library. This approach not only addresses their accommodation needs but also fosters a secure residential atmosphere on campus. Namal University's commitment to these resources ensures a culture of learning and research among its students.

Why do we need to sponsor higher education in Pakistan?

According to university guidelines, a student is placed on academic probation should their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) fall below 2.00 at the conclusion of any regular semester. Furthermore, if a student's CGPA remains below 2.00 for two consecutive regular semesters, the university policy mandates the separation of the student from the academic program.

In the event of such circumstances, we want to ensure that your support continues to make a meaningful impact. Therefore, should the student you are currently sponsoring face separation from the program due to academic performance, we have a mechanism in place to redirect your support to another deserving student.

This proactive approach allows you to maintain your commitment to supporting education, ensuring that your generosity directly contributes to the success of a different student who meets the criteria for continued assistance.

Prospective students are required to attain a minimum of 70% marks in their Intermediate/Equivalent examinations, complemented by a minimum of 80% marks in Matric/O’Levels examinations.

Namal University employs a comprehensive aggregate merit criteria for the admission process, consisting of the following components:

  • 50% based on the performance in Intermediate/Equivalent examinations.
  • 50% based on the results of the entrance exam.

Admission offers are extended to students with the highest merit, contingent upon the availability of seats. Applicants must initiate the admission process by submitting their applications through the designated online portal on Namal University’s official website. Ensure that all necessary documents, including supporting materials, are accurately and completely provided during the application submission. Following the submission of the online application, candidates are required to apply for the entrance exam as part of the admission process.

To further enhance your engagement with the impactful contribution towards a full year's fees, we are pleased to offer a personalized experience through our Scholarship Programme. By supporting a student's education, you will gain unique insights into their academic journey. Here's what you can expect:

  • We will provide you with detailed information about the student you are supporting, their background & academic goals

  • Gain exclusive access to student profiles, allowing you to understand the aspirations and challenges faced by the beneficiary

  • As a valued sponsor, you will receive bi-annual updates on the academic progress and achievements of the sponsored student

Your commitment to supporting education extends beyond financial assistance; it becomes a shared journey of growth and success. We believe that this immersive experience will not only enrich the lives of the students but also provide you with a deeper understanding of the positive impact your generosity has on their educational pursuits.

Namal University offers two types of scholarships to students: Merit-based scholarships and need-based scholarships. Zakat that you donate to Namal University is used specifically to sponsor higher education of zakat-eligible students.

Absolutely, the collective effort of teaming up with friends, family, and colleagues to partially sponsor a student's scholarship is a wonderful initiative. This collaborative approach allows multiple individuals to combine their resources, making a meaningful impact on a student's education.

Here's how you can proceed:

  • Coordinate with your friends, family, and colleagues who are interested in contributing to the scholarship

  • Establish clear communication channels to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding the amount they wish to contribute

  • Determine the contribution structure: Decide on the contribution structure, whether it's an equal share from each participant or varying amounts based on individual capacities

  • Collecting contributions: Set up a mechanism for collecting contributions. This could include a designated bank account, a crowdfunding platform, or any other convenient method

  • Once the required amount is collected, submit the collective contribution to NEF. Follow any specific instructions provided by the university for scholarship donations

  • Designating the scholarship: Clearly communicate to us that the contribution is a joint effort involving multiple individuals. Specify that it is intended to partially sponsor a student's scholarship

  • Stay in touch with the university for updates on the student who benefits from the joint sponsorship
